MSM consists of the organic sulfur compound methylsulfonylmethane. MSM is found naturally in the body and is involved in the formation of the body's collagen and keratin. Collagen, in turn, is involved in the construction of joints, muscles, fur and skin.

MSM is also involved in the construction of new cells found in, for example, muscle tissue, bone tissue and connective tissue. Connective tissue is what makes, for example, tendons and ligaments strong and elastic.

MSM contributes to increasing the permeability of the cell wall, which simplifies the removal of waste products and provides effective nutrient absorption.

MSM also contributes to improving muscle circulation and oxygen uptake, which can shift the lactic acid threshold.

MSM can also act as an antioxidant and reduce the amount of free radicals after physical exertion, which in turn can improve the horse's recovery.

Which horses is MSM suitable for?
MSM is suitable for horses that are perceived to have problems with muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments. MSM is also well suited for horses that have concerns about recovery or that are perceived to be weak due to age.
