Strong Blood is a supplement for horses with low hemoglobin values, who suffer from iron deficiency or who have a feed state low in iron.
Why Strong Blood?
Strong Blood contains iron, copper, cobalt, B12 and folic acid, all substances required for the production of red blood cells. The red blood cells contain the protein hemoglobin which is responsible for the body's transport of oxygen. Hemoglobin requires, among other things, iron and copper in order for oxygen to be transported in the body efficiently. A higher amount of red blood cells allows the body to absorb more oxygen from the lungs. An increased oxygen uptake means that the muscles receive a larger amount of oxygenated blood, which increases the muscles' ability to work aerobically, i.e. the lactic acid threshold (lactate threshold) is shifted.
