Comfort Mouth – the name says it all. The mouthpiece of this Pelham offers ultimate comfort for the horse and promotes acceptance of the rider's hand. As the mouthpiece offers plenty of room for the tongue, it is recommended for horses with thick, fleshy tongues and can successfully counteract tongue problems.

The Pelham enables targeted and effective aids that act on the entire width of the tongue, the neck, and the lower jaw. Depending on how it is buckled, the leverage effect on the neck can be varied as desired. This allows you to respond individually to your horse.

The bit is often used in combination with Pelham straps. If the rider and horse are already highly trained, the use of two pairs of reins is recommended: this allows the leverage to be applied as sensitively as possible. The Pelham is used in conjunction with a chin chain. If this allows an angle of up to 45° between the lower jaw and the mouth, it limits the pressure on the neck in a sensible way.
